> Scriptive is a Christian emotional intelligence app that helps people identify what they are feeling and respond with Scripture, prayer, and reflection. Naming an emotion calms the brain's alarm system; in that calmer state, personalized Bible verses help users break negative patterns and build lasting change.

Scriptive is available on the web at https://scriptive.org and as native iOS and Android apps.

## Core features

- **Emotion check-in**: A 0–100 emotional scale (Desperate, Drained, Struggling, Okay, Hopeful, Victorious) with a two-tier emotion word picker.
- **Scripture matched to emotion**: Bible verses (and verse groups) ranked by relevance to the selected emotion words.
- **Five Whys reflection**: A guided five-step reflection that surfaces one of six Root Needs underneath the emotion.
- **Send a Flare (SOS)**: Alert accountability partners by email, SMS, and push when in crisis. Includes urgency level (Low / Medium / High) and a 5 Whys synopsis.
- **Accountability connections**: Up to 12 trusted partners invited via email, SMS, or in-person QR code.
- **Passwordless auth**: SMS one-time passcode by default, email magic link as fallback. No passwords.
